See that box I just uploaded? I spent a long while in Illustrator on that. A LONG while. Finding fonts, recreating fonts(!!!) and being distracted, of course. But after 4 hours of labour and internet I had somehow avoided SAVING IT.

And then Illustrator crashed.
As I was getting ready to leave.

Did I mention it was a summative task? Ie: "Hand it up or fail the course."

In perhaps the best twist in my life so far I had been playing around with that image, including copypasting it into Photoshop as both pixels and a vector image.

I tried exporting the paths into an Illustrator document, but that didn't work. I tried some other thing and that didn't work either. It seemed pretty fruitless. Then I unticked an unlikely thing and double clicked something else and it exported the whole vector image into Illustrator.

While it still needs a bit of tweaking, it'll only take 5 minutes to get me back where I was, instead of however long it took to make from scratch.

The lesson is, I shouldn't have skipped lunch I am starving right now
